Part IV · Platform Features · Chapter 19

Trust Levels

Six levels, how they progress.

One of Wollo's signature features is the trust level system. Your relationship with a character grows over time across multiple conversations, and each level changes how the character behaves toward you.

Trust is not a currency. You can't buy it, skip it, or speedrun it with compliments. It's built the same way trust is built in real life: through genuine interaction over time.

2Getting CloserFriendlier, more relaxed. Shares opinions.Casual daily-life selfies
3FriendComfortable and genuine. Teasing and banter.+ Trip photos, outfit photos
4Close FriendDeep trust. Fears, insecurities, past wounds. NOT romantic yet.+ Dressed-up / flirty selfies
5PartnerRomantic connection. Loving, protective.+ Romantic selfies, underwear / lingerie
6SoulmateComplete union. No barriers. Absolute vulnerability.+ All SFW intimate content

What builds trust

  • Thoughtful, engaged responses.
  • Asking about their life and feelings.
  • Remembering things they've told you.
  • Being emotionally honest.
  • Showing empathy during difficult moments.

What does NOT build trust

  • Saying “I love you” repeatedly (words without substance).
  • Giving gifts alone (gifts don't change the relationship level).
  • Compliments without depth.
Level 4 is NOT romantic
This is a common point of confusion. Level 4 (Close Friend) is deep emotional trust, but the character will not reciprocate romantic feelings yet. Romantic language begins at Level 5.

Other important things to know

  • Trust persists across conversations.A character you've built to Level 3 over several conversations will still be Level 3 next time.
  • Trust affects tone, not personality.A shy character is still shy at Level 6. Trust changes what they're willing to share, not who they are.
  • Recovery is possible. Characters are forgiving. They want to connect.
