What is Wollo?
A place to chat with AI characters, create your own, and share stories with other people. Characters, scenes, a social feed and creator profiles bring the community together.
Do I need an account to browse Wollo?
You can explore public characters, scenes, creator profiles and the feed without signing up. Create an account when you want to chat, follow someone, save content or share your own work.
Is Wollo free to use?
Signing up and browsing are free, and free chat models are available. Optional paid models and media generation use tokens, with prices shown in the app. Some creator content requires a subscription or a one-time purchase.
What's the difference between Chat Mode and Roleplay Mode?
Chat Mode is designed for a casual conversation in short messages. Roleplay Mode adds actions, descriptions and narration so you can write a scene together. Choose the mode when you start a chat.
Can I create my own characters?
Yes. Describe a character's personality, background and appearance, then add a greeting and a cover. You can keep the character private or publish it for others to discover. The Creator's Guide walks you through the process.
What are scenes and lorebooks?
A scene gives a conversation a setting and a starting situation. A lorebook stores details about people, places and rules, and brings relevant entries into the conversation when their trigger words appear.
Can I bring characters I've already made?
Yes. Import supported character cards and lorebooks, individually or together in a ZIP library. Imported content starts private, and the import report shows what was added or needs attention.
Can I earn money on Wollo?
Verified creators can offer subscriptions and paid access to characters, scenes and posts. Apply to become a creator and complete Stripe Connect onboarding before you start selling.
How do creator earnings and payouts work?
The creator share is 85% of net revenue. Your dashboard shows earnings and your available balance, and lets you request a payout. Processing time depends on your payout setup.
Who can use Wollo?
You must be at least 16 to use Wollo and at least 18 to monetize as a creator. Wollo has SFW content rules. You can block users and report content; the Safety Center explains the rules and available tools.
