This section supplements the Wollo Privacy Policy and applies to users located in specific regions. It provides additional details about your privacy rights and how we handle personal data in compliance with applicable regional laws.

1. European Economic Area (EEA) and United Kingdom (UK)

If you are located in the EEA or the UK, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK GDPR apply to our processing of your personal data.

Legal Bases for Processing

We process personal data only when we have a lawful basis under GDPR. The following table maps our processing purposes to the applicable legal bases:

Your GDPR Rights

Under applicable EU and UK data protection laws, you have the following rights:

  • Access: Obtain a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification: Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Erasure: Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Restriction: Limit processing of your data in specific circumstances.
  • Data Portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Objection: Object to data processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing.
  • Withdraw Consent: Revoke consent at any time when processing is based on consent.
  • Automated Decision-Making: Request human review of automated decisions that significantly affect you (see Section 8 of the Privacy Policy).
  • Complaint: File a complaint with your local data protection authority (see below).

International Data Transfers

Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your own. When we transfer personal data outside the EEA or UK, we rely on:

  • Adequacy decisions issued by the European Commission;
  • Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved under GDPR; or
  • Other appropriate safeguards as permitted under applicable law.

2. United States

If you reside in the United States, specific privacy laws may grant you rights regarding your personal data. These include the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA), the Colorado Privacy Act (CPA), the Connecticut Data Privacy Act (CTDPA), and the Utah Consumer Privacy Act (UCPA).

Your U.S. Privacy Rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have the following rights:

  • Right to Know / Access: Request details about the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected about you.
  • Right to Delete: Request deletion of personal information we hold about you.
  • Right to Correct: Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Right to Opt Out of Sales or Sharing: Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (Wollo does not sell your data for monetary consideration).
  • Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Information: Restrict processing of sensitive data.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
  • Right to Appeal: If we deny your privacy request, you have the right to appeal our decision. To submit an appeal, contact us at [email protected] with the subject line “Privacy Request Appeal.” We will respond to your appeal within the timeframe required by applicable state law.

Response Timeframes

We will acknowledge receipt of your privacy request within 10 business days and will respond substantively within 45 days of receiving a verifiable request. If we need additional time (up to an additional 45 days), we will notify you in writing of the reason and the expected completion date.

We collect and use this data for the business purposes described in the main Privacy Policy. We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. Disclosures to advertising providers for targeted advertising may be considered “sales” or “sharing” under certain state laws.

Authorized Agents

You may designate an authorized agent to make privacy requests on your behalf. To do so, you must provide written permission and verification of identity. We may follow up with you directly to verify your identity before processing the authorized agent’s request.

California “Shine the Light”

Under California Civil Code Section 1798.83, California residents who have an established business relationship with us may request information about whether we have disclosed personal information to any third parties for the third parties’ direct marketing purposes during the preceding calendar year.
