Generating Photos and Videos

The /images studio — prompts, styles, video, reference images.

Open /imagesand you get Wollo's media studio — a single workspace for generating AI photos and videos, with a history of everything you've ever made. Media you generate here isn't locked to the studio: one tap turns any result into a post, a character avatar, a banner, a reference for a video, or a source for remixing.

Two generation modes in one interface

A toggle at the top switches between Image and Video mode. The left panel (prompt + controls) adapts to the mode; your history stays on the right and can be filtered to show photos only, videos only, or all media.

Image generation

Image generation on Wollo runs through a pipeline of multiple AI models, each specialised for a different look. You pick one via the Style selector — the platform handles model routing, prompt preprocessing, and safety filtering behind the scenes.

ControlWhat it does
PromptYour main description. Be specific about subject, setting, lighting, camera angle, style — the more concrete, the more controlled the output.
Negative promptWhat to avoid. Great for removing hands, blur, extra limbs, watermarks, or pushing the model away from unwanted styles (e.g. “cartoon, low quality”).
StylePicks the underlying model + preset. Realistic, Anime, Digital Art, 3D, Oil Paint, Cinematic, plus anything we ship as a seasonal or creator-focused preset.
Aspect ratio1:1 (1024×1024), 16:9 (1024×576) for landscape / feed, 9:16 (576×1024) for stories / portrait, 4:3 (1024×768) for a softer traditional frame.

Styles map to different models

The style you pick is more than a CSS filter on top of one model — it routes your prompt to the generator best tuned for that output. Anime, Realistic and Cinematic produce visibly different anatomy, lighting, and composition even for the exact same prompt. If a style isn't doing what you want, try the same prompt through another style first before rewriting it.

Prompt that scales across styles
"A young violinist at golden hour on a rooftop, wind catching her hair, soft bokeh lights in the background" — works beautifully as Realistic (portrait photography), Cinematic (moodier, wider framing) and Anime (softer, stylised). Keep the subject clear and one or two atmosphere cues; the style handles the look.

Video generation

Video mode adds a time dimension. You can either describe a scene from scratch (text-to-video) or drop in a reference image and the model will animate it (image-to-video).

ControlOptions
Duration5s · 10s · 15s
Resolution720p · 1080p
Reference imageOptional. Upload any still — your character, a previous generation, a photo you own — and the model will animate around it.
PromptDescribe the motion you want, not just the scene. “Camera slowly dolly in, petals drift past, light shifts from cool to warm” steers a video much harder than “a flower”.
Premium gets cheaper video
Video generation is compute-heavy, so it costs more credits than a still image. Premium subscribers get a discounted rate per second — the exact delta shows up in the footer of the generator and in the pricing table.

Writing prompts that work

  • Lead with the subject, then the setting, then the mood. "A bartender" → "A bartender in a neon-lit speakeasy" → "A bartender in a neon-lit speakeasy, rain on the window, film-grain, moody".
  • Include technical hooks.Words like "photorealistic, 35mm, shallow depth of field" or "cel-shaded, studio Ghibli palette" point the model at a specific visual vocabulary.
  • Trim what isn't visual.Adjectives about emotion ("feels nostalgic") do less than camera/lighting words ("soft window light, dusk, warm tones").
  • Use negative prompt surgically.Add rarely and specifically — "deformed hands, extra fingers, watermark". Long negative prompts suppress things you actually wanted.

What you can do with a generated piece

Every finished generation has a Use as menu — one click sends the image or video to:

  • Post — opens the feed composer with the media attached. Great for teasing a character or shipping a paid media set.
  • Character avatar or banner — replaces the avatar/banner on an existing character or on your profile.
  • Reference for video — pipes the still back into video mode as the source frame, so you can animate something you just generated.
  • Download — raw file at full resolution.

Your generation history

Everything you generate is saved to your personal history, separated into photos and videos. Re-open a past item to see the prompt, style, and aspect ratio you used — handy when a generation worked and you want to remix it with one small change instead of retyping from scratch.

Pricing and safety

  • Pricing is per-generation in Wollo credits, shown in the footer of the generator before you commit. Images are cheap; video scales with duration and resolution. Top up credits from your wallet.
  • Safety filters run automatically. Wollo is SFW, so prompts pushing in that direction are blocked at generation time, not after the fact.
  • You own what you generate. Everything in your history is yours to download, remix, post, sell as paid media, or delete.
A simple workflow that scales
Generate a hero image for your new character in the style that matches their vibe. Use it as the character's avatar. Pipe the same image into Video mode with a short motion prompt ("slow cinematic zoom, warm light"). Post the video to the feed with a teaser caption. That's a full launch asset pack from one prompt session.
