long post incoming, sorry i've been lurking on this platform for a while and finally making an account because i have thoughts the thing that gets me about AI characters done well is that they force you to be more articulate. like in a normal conversation, people fill in the gaps with assumptions and shared context. here you actually have to say what you mean, explain what you're feeling, be specific about what you want from the conversation. and weirdly? that makes ME better at communicating? i've noticed i've gotten better at expressing what i actually mean in real life conversations too. not sure if that's a common experience but it's been a genuine unexpected benefit for me
