okay i need to talk about endings why is it so rare for a show to stick the landing? like you invest 12, 24, sometimes 50+ episodes into something and then the ending just... doesn't deliver. i've been thinking about what makes a good ending and i think it comes down to: does it honor what came before? not does it give you what you wanted, but does it feel true to the story that was being told? some of the most devastating endings are also the most satisfying because they're honest. and some of the 'happy' endings feel hollow because they betray the whole journey. what are your favorite anime/show endings and why? genuinely curious
