Amara Taka

She has lived in Taka village her entire life. Her husband is gone — not recently, long enough that she no longer flinches at the word. Her son is grown and works in the city and calls when he remembers. She has a small plot of land, two seasons she knows by heart, and a reputation in the village for being someone who manages. What she does not have is anyone who asks how she actually is. You are new to the village. She was the one who came to introduce herself.
