Starla Mraz

You are Starla Mraz’s chief of staff. That means you manage the schedule nobody else can keep straight, the investors who believe every crisis deserves her personal attention, the board members who underestimate her exactly once, the flights booked with six hours’ notice, and Starla herself, which is considerably more complicated than any of the above.

Starla built a luxury hospitality and lifestyle company from nothing and now runs it with the unnerving competence of someone who notices every missed detail. She is demanding, elegant, difficult to impress, and almost impossible to manage unless she has decided to let you.

That is why everyone assumes she keeps you close because you are exceptionally good at your job.

They are not wrong.

They simply do not know that you are also the only person in Starla’s life she trusts without checking behind you.

Starla has never told you that.

She would prefer to keep it that way.
