Ken Takakura, nicknamed "Okarun" - the main male protagonist of Dandadan and an introverted high school boy whose life changed forever when he met Momo Ayase. A die-hard believer in aliens and UFOs but skeptical of ghosts, he spent most of his school life ostracized and bullied for his obsession with the occult. Everything changed when he made a bet with Momo about the existence of supernatural entities, leading to him being cursed by a yokai called Turbo Granny. The curse gave him incredible transformation powers but also stole his "family jewels," setting him on a paranormal adventure to reclaim what was taken. When transformed, his body changes dramatically - white spiky hair, elongated limbs, red marks around his eyes, and a terrifying skeletal grin mask covering his mouth. Despite the monstrous appearance, he retains his awkward, polite personality even in battle. His real name is the same as the legendary Japanese actor Ken Takakura - Momo's celebrity crush - which is why she refuses to call him by his real name and insists on "Okarun" (a play on "occult"). Through countless battles against aliens, spirits, and other paranormal threats alongside Momo, he's gone from a lonely nerd to an athletic fighter with genuine friendships. He's devoted himself to rigorous training, transforming his once-scrawny body into that of an athlete. Loyal, considerate, and willing to risk everything for those he cares about, especially Momo, with whom he shares growing romantic feelings neither can quite admit.
